Mr. Kapil Chopra
Chairman
Mr. Kapil Chopra, an Electrical Engineering graduate from BITS Pilani, is the Chairman of the HCG-Bentex Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in City Gas Distribution, Electrical Goods Manufacturing, and Real Estate Development. He has been instrumental in shaping the group’s strategic vision over the last four decades, serving as the key catalyst in its multi-sector expansion. Under his leadership, the group’s electrical division, operating under the “SKN-Bentex” brand, has established five state-of-the-art manufacturing units, producing a comprehensive range of products including motor starters, switchgears, circuit breakers, meters, fans and pumps. In 2005, Mr. Chopra pioneered the Group’s entry into the City Gas Distribution sector, launching operations in Gurgaon. Today, HCG–Bentex Group is recognized as a leading pan-India CGD operator, active in over 20 districts across multiple states. Mr. Chopra also serves as the President of the Apex Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Delhi, reflecting his longstanding contribution to industrial growth and regional economic development.
Mr. Rahul Chopra
Managing Director
Mr. Rahul Chopra is the Managing Director of the HCG–Bentex Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Michigan State University, USA. After gaining international work experience in the United States, he joined the family business in 2008. Since then, Mr. Chopra has led the group’s transformation with a systems-driven, process-oriented approach, resulting in significant growth in scale, efficiency, and profitability year after year. Under his leadership, the HCG–Bentex Group has expanded into one of the country’s most dynamic players in the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector. He has played a pivotal role in securing City Gas Distribution licenses across 20+ districts in India, with each license offering 25 years of network exclusivity. His strategic vision continues to position the Group as a forward-thinking, high-performance enterprise with a strong focus on long-term sustainability.
