Piped Natural Gas (PNG)

PNG is mainly methane – CH4 with a small percentage of other higher hydrocarbons. The ratio of carbon to hydrogen is least in methane and hence it burns almost completely making it the cleanest fuel. It is procured from the oil / gas wells and transported through a network of pipelines across the country.

PNG Benefits :

Uninterrupted supply : PNG offers continuous and adequate supply of gas at all times, without any problem of storing gas in cylinders.

Convenience : PNG is supplied through pipe lines continuously so there are no hassles of refilling / changing the cylinder; and does not require any space to store and inventory management.

Economical : Pipe line delivery saves your transportation cost.

Safe : The combustible mixture of natural gas and air does not ignite if the mixture is leaner than 5% and richer than 15% of the air-fuel ratio required for ignition. This narrow in flammability range makes PNG one of the safest fuels in the world.

Eco-friendly : Use of PNG improves public health. It also reduces the transportation of bottled gas thereby reducing traffic congestion and safety on the roads.

No spillage and pilferage : PNG is supplied through pipe lines and use of Metering and regulating skids spillage and pilferage is avoided unlike other fuels like HSD and LDO.

Billing : Billing is done bimonthly according to meter reading. Other advantage is that the user gets to pay only after consumption of gas.

No daily liaisoning : PNG is supplied directly to consumer premises through pipes so consumer is get off liaisoning task for the daily supply of fuel.
